Dr.Numb® is a non-prescription,topical anesthetic cream which contains 5% concentration of lidocaine.It produces temporary numbness or loss of sensation of the skin and its surrounding tissues after its application. It is primarily indicated for pain relief on the skin associated with needle inser-tions,laser treatments and minor surgeries in adults and in children no less than 2 years of age.
What is in Dr. Numb® cream?
Non- medicinal ingredients found in Dr.Numb®creaminclude: Benzyl alcohol,carbopol,lecithin,vitamin E,propylene glycol,and purified water.
The doctor may provide a specific dose in certain situations, if none, follow this:
Adults and children 2 years of age and older:Apply to affected areas not more than 3 to 4 times daily. Children under 2 years of age, consult a physician.
Conditions that require dose adjustments:
• Elderly patients
• Acutely ill patients
• Patients with severe liver and kidney disease
• Patients treated with other anesthetic or certain anti-arrhythmic drugs
Directions for Use
1. Wash the area with soap and water.
2. Make sure the skin is clean and dry.Apply the cream and gently massage it into the skin evenly.
3. Leave it on with an occlusive dressing.Dr.Numb® cream should start to take effect within 30-60 minutes after it is applied.
4. Wipe the cream off with a clean gauze or tissue.
Perform additional skin preparation as necessary.
When should you not use Dr.Numb® cream?
Do not use Dr. Numb® cream if:

What are the side effects of Dr.Numb®cream and what to do about them?
Like any other medicines,Dr.Numb®cream may result in side effects for certain people.The most common side effects are irritation,redness,itch-ing or rash. Although these side effects usually do not require medical attention, if they continue or are bothersome, report them to your doctor or health care professional.
The skin area where Dr.Numb®cream is applied may stay numb for sev-eral hours. Due to the absence of skin sensation, protect the skin from injuries. If any side effect bothers you, or if you experience any unusual effect while you are using Dr.Numb®cream,stop using it and check with your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible. Allergic reactions to the active ingredients have been seen but rare.Watch out for itching,hives,burning,stinging sensation or any other skin problems, swelling of neck area or any difficulty of breathing not present before using Dr.Numb®cream.
Medicines affect different people in different ways.If any side effects both-er you,or if you experience anyunusual effects while you are using Dr.
Numb®cream,stop using it.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Early signs of include: numbness of the lips and around the mouth, light-headedness,dizziness,unusual taste,ringing in the ears and blurred vision.
In the event of serious overdosage,seizures,lowblood pressure,slowed
breathing and irregular heartbeats may occur.
Caution/Warning: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. For children (2 - 12 years): Application should be supervised by an adult. Avoid contact with eyes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with water. If condition worsens or if symptoms persist for more than seven (7) days or clear up and occur again within a few days, discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner. If overdose or accidental ingestion occurs, call a Poison Control Centre immediately. Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not use under a bandage. Do not use in large quantities or over large areas of the body. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if the following symptoms appear: weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing and/or pale, grey or blue coloured skin as these may be signs of methemo-globinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to two (2) hours after use. Do not use over raw surfaces or blistered areas.
How should you keep Dr. Numb® cream?
Always keep the tube tightly closed. Store at temperatures not exceeding15°C - 30 °C.Protect from freezing. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
