Did you know that aside from Lidocaine which is the most commonly used topical anesthetic?
There is something else, which are used to block nerve signals in the body, which is called the Benzocaine, a medicine that is used to reduce pain and discomfort, unlike Lidocaine which can only be good on the skin surface. Benzocaine (available on gel, spray, and ointment and cream) is also used to numb the skin or surfaces inside the mouth, nose, throat, vagina, or rectum to lessen the pain of inserting a medical instrument such as a tube or speculum. But although, there are so many “caine’s” they are all the same in such as numbing skin surfaces. Too much use of the medicine can cause fatal for an individual causing some side effect called methemoglobinemia. First thing first, when applying avoid large amount of it, use enough for the treatment, avoiding contact to open wounds, avoiding the eyeballs, and Do not use benzocaine topical anesthetic, if you have a blood cell disorder. For Laser hair removal treatments, the area of hairs are wide, applying enough is good to avoid discomfort, irritations ad side effects. Do not also use this medicine without the advice of the medical doctor. Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, If I say “amount” of it, I mean the percentage of it contains (ex. 2%, 3%, etc…) in the product. For further information about using a product, you must consult a doctor about using it, and what for what activity you are using this medicine.
