Warts are the tiny skin growths caused by HPV infection. Though they are harmless, they can hurt one’s self esteem and look very ugly if appear on the visible areas like face or the fingers. Before going for any OTC solution, you can fix them at home by using several home remedies. These natural ways are free from side effects and are easily available at your kitchen.

Garlic:

Garlic is one of the tested home remedy for skin warts.  You can use fresh garlic or garlic juice to cure them. Before using them, you must check your skin sensitivity by rubbing a small piece of garlic. They are rich in anti-viral component, allicin, which proves effective on warts.

Before using garlic on your skin, clean your skin with soap and water. Pat it dry with the clean cotton towel. Make sure you wash the towel or cloth after it comes into contact with the warts. Now, take the garlic clove and crush it with the knife’s flat part or cut the clove in two pieces. Rub them on the warts. Wrap around a bandage or a piece of cloth over it. Repeat the process for 2 to 3 weeks to see the desired results.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Apple Cider Vinegar is effective because it makes the warts fall off from the skin thanks to its acidic content. But it doesn’t kill the responsible virus, HPV.

Let’s see how you can use apple cider vinegar for warts. First of all, wash the affected area with mild soap and water. Dry it with a clean towel. Take few drops of apple cider vinegar and soak a cotton ball with it. Place it over wart and secure it for an overnight by using a band aid. Repeat the process everyday till it disappears completely.

Baking Soda:

Baking soda is the useful home remedy for many skin issues including skin warts. It is high in anti septic and anti-inflammatory properties that make it effective on viruses of warts.

Mix one tbsp. of vinegar with the enough baking soda to form the thick paste. Apply the paste on the affected parts of the skin in morning and night. Do this twice in the day for noticing an improvement.

Onions:

Onions are useful on stubborn warts. Just apply the fresh onion juice on the warts. Let it dry but don’t wash. You can also directly place the crushed onion on the wart and cover with a cloth or bandage. Repeat the process every day.

Bananas:

Bananas are rich in potassium, which works on the warts as it is said to have the caustic effect. You need to just rub the inner side of a fresh banana peel on the affected area each night. Secure a bandage over it and leave it for overnight. Rinse off the part with the soap and warm water in the morning. Cover it with a clean bandage. Make sure to change the bandage once it gets wet as virus develops in moist area. Use nail trimmers to eliminate the dark parts of the damaged warts daily.

Besides using these home remedies for warts, make sure to wash the clothes and items coming into the contact with them. Keeps your immune system healthy to prevent the warts causing viruses.
